I just wanna wear “boy clothes” in pretty pastel colors.
(Quotation marks because all clothes are for everyone, not just girls/boys)
imagine an au where marco survives and jean still decides to join the survey corps and marco lives in the interior but he always makes sure he goes back to where the recon corps return so he can wait for jean and on one of jean’s later missions marco goes out and he’s watching and smiling bc “oh jean’s finally back it’s been forever!” and they go and go and he sees armin and mikasa and reiner and bert and doesnt understand why the look at him and start to tear up but then they get to the end and marco is left standing there because “w-where’s….” and eren has to go over to him and give him what’s left of jean
On the morning of September 4, 1957, fifteen-year-old Dorothy Counts set out on a harrowing path toward Harding High, where-as the first African American to attend the all-white school – she was greeted by a jeering swarm of boys who spat, threw trash, and yelled epithets at her as she entered the building.
Charlotte Observer photographer Don Sturkey captured the ugly incident on film, and in the days that followed, the searing image appeared not just in the local paper but in newspapers around the world.
People everywhere were transfixed by the girl in the photograph who stood tall, her five-foot-ten-inch frame towering nobly above the mob that trailed her. There, in black and white, was evidence of the brutality of racism, a sinister force that had led children to torment another child while adults stood by. While the images display a lot of evils: prejudice, ignorance, racism, sexism, inequality, it also captures true strength, determination, courage and inspiration.
Here she is, age 70, still absolutely elegant and poised.
she deserves to be re-blogged.
When people make fun of Poland, he retaliates by saying that at least his people didn’t get the Black Plague.
I have classes each weekday!
And tumblr still won’t tell me when people reply to my posts!
hi, guys! as you may know, i recently opened my storenvy. i’m selling a few of my prints and buttons, including my four hogwarts buttons. you can find the original art of these buttons posted on my dA and personal tumblr.
recently, i discovered that i am not the only one selling them.
he was doing this without my knowledge and without my permission. i sent him a private message, but he has yet to respond. i reported him on etsy and they haven’t done anything. my friend michelle sent him a message asking him to remove the listing and he responded saying he was “out of the country” and couldn’t remove it despite the fact that all he needs is a computer, which he obviously has given his response. again, he has not responded to my message saying that i am the original artist asking him to remove the listing.
please report him on etsy. you can do this under the “actions” heading on the left column of his storefront. please report him and send him messages and let him know for a fact that this is okay. art theft is not okay. by doing this he is directly taking money from me, the original artist. that is money that i could use for paying my rent, buying groceries, and paying vet bills for our kitten. that is money i need to stay afloat as an unemployed artist with student loans. i know a few dollars for four buttons doesn’t seem like a lot but it adds up and currently that is how i am keeping myself out of debt.
pEOPLE HATING ON CHARACTERS FOR BEING REALISTICALLY EMOTIONAL IN TRAUMATIZING SITUATIONS
Sorry to reblog from the source, but I thought the chain of comments was rather unnecessary. All that needs to be said is that this documentary examines gender inequality and how patriarchy contributes negatively to our society.
This is a feminist issue.
And anyone on Tumblr who’s too close-minded to recognize it as such due to a nonsensical blanketed hatred of men’s issues need to re-evaluate their motives.
THESE ARE REAL AND HORRIBLE MALE ISSUES CAUSED BY THE PATRIARCHY. IF YOURE FEMINIST, THESE SHOULD ANGER YOU. IF YOU’RE NOT, HERES ANOTHER REASON TO SUPPORT THE MOVEMENT.
have I already reblogged this? don’t give a fuck.
